On 23 - 25 June 2019, the Embasy of the Republic of Poland together with the Poland - New Zealand Business Association POLANZ exhibited at the BuildNZ trade event in Auckland. We presented several Polish companies from building, construction and design sectors exporting to as well as those interested in cooperation with New Zealand. Among the companies presented were BIM Furniture, Szkilnik Design producing wooden washbasins and baths, Radomsko and Tados Firek manufacturing windows and doors, and Hector Property Solutions. We were also hosting a representative of Christchurch-based Live House Design Studio, a company importing and distributing Polish ceramic tiles and timber floors. Our stand neighboured with Izodom New Zealand - producer of low energy and passive housing based on IZODOM 2000 technology developed in Poland.
We were pleased to welcome at our stand the New Zealand Minister for Building and Construction and Associate Minister of Housing and Urban Development Hon Jenny Salesa.
There were numerous side events held with KiwiBuild Summit and seminars attended by industry experts, sector's leading associations and industry bodies. The Polish Embassy together with POLANZ joined the German - New Zealand Chamber of Commerce in holding the BuildNZ Networking Event. Polish Ambassador Zbigniew Gniatkowski spoke about great condition of the Polish economy, construction and building sector export hits and booming Polish - German bilateral trade.
Being present at BuildNZ enabled us to find out that several New Zealand companies base their offer on products and materials sourced directly from Poland, such as safety harnesses sold by Christchurch-based company ZERO or roof access hatches and ladders as well as skylights offered by Adlux.
BuildNZ is the leading trade event for the Building, Construction, Design, and Architecture Industries, bringing industry professionals and innovators together to share ideas, showcase the latest products, and develop business relationships.
The Polish stand was financed by the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Technology of the Republic of Poland.
