2. Art in the Service of Diplomacy - First MFA Infrastructure Conference

During the two-day conference "In search of a new Order. Building the image of Polish foreign policy through architecture, art, design, engineering and real estate management" its participants will discuss ways how to shape Poland's foreign policy image through art. |
3. Colombia's Foreign Minister visits Poland
Minister Radosław Sikorski met on the 7th of February in Warsaw with Colombian Foreign Minister María Ángela Holguín Cuéllar. The ministers discussed relations between the European Union and Colombia, as well as bilateral relations, including business ties. The meeting was also an occasion to discuss the socio-economic situation in Latin America and current developments in Africa and the Middle East. |
4. Europe tops agenda of Gdansk meeting of Visegrad, Nordic and Baltic states
At the invitation of Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski, foreign ministers from eleven European countries – Slovakia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia – paid a visit to Gdansk on 20 February. During the meeting, the ministers discussed measures aimed at overcoming the economic crisis and ways of making Europe – especially our region – more competitive on a global scale. |
5. NGOs presented with EED tasks and priorities
MFA Undersecretary of State Jerzy Pomianowski, the appointed Executive Director of the European Endowment for Democracy, discussed the EED’s organisational structure, legal status, tasks and priorities with representatives of Polish NGOs.“Polish NGOs are a natural base for EED’s future activities on account of their experience relating to the Polish systemic transformation and their support for democratic changes in EU’s Eastern Neighbourhood, especially in Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova. The EED will certainly tap into their expertise,” noted Deputy Minister Jerzy Pomianowski. |
