  • Bilateral cooperation:

    Poland and Timor-Leste established diplomatic relations on 18 November 2002. In 2004 there was an official visit to Poland paid by Minister of Foreign Affairs Jose Ramos-Horta, who was received by the President of Poland and Deputy Marshals of Sejm and Senate. Polish Ambassador in Jakarta is also accredited to Timor-Leste. there is also an Honorary Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Dili.

    Economic cooperation

    Economic cooperation between Poland and Timor is almost nonexistent. Polish economic presence in Timor was marked during a construction of a new power plant in Hera city – after the Chinese consortium withdrawal, the construction was taken over in 2011 by Finish company Wartsila, which cooperated with some Polish subcontractors.

    Import from Timor: 2 774 PLN

     

    The only agreement between Poland and Timor-Leste is the one signed on 8 October 2002 concerning establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
