On the occasion of 50th anniversary of establishing Polish diplomatic and commercial mission in Amman, the following delegations arrived in Jordan : Foreign Ministry headed by Deputy Minister Bogusław Winid, Ministry of Economy headed by Deputy Minister Mariusz Haładyj, Ministry of Defence headed by Deputy Minister Waldemar Skrzypczak, and Head Office of Geodesy and Cartography represented by its Deputy Director – Jacek Jarząbek.
On 11th May, delegations attended the seminar “Future Relations between Poland and the Arab World”. Speeches were delivered by: Minister B. Winid, Minister M. Haładyj, Minister W. Skrzypczak, Ambassador K. Bojko, Secretary General of Foreign Affairs Ministry of Jordan – Mohamed Ali Daher and many others. After the seminar, recorded by the main Jordanian broadcasters, in the presence of approx. 200 guests, there was an official signing of an agreement on academic cooperation between Al Rai Centre for Studies Director – dr. Khaled A. Shogran and the Director of The Institute of Middle and Far East Studies at the Jagiellonian University – prof. Krzysztof Kościelniak.
