Anti-corruption experiences and the potential scope of Polish-Moroccan cooperation in this field were discussed during a meeting between Maciej Wnuk, the Foreign Minister’s Special Representative for Governance and Anti-Corruption, and Abdesselam Aboudrar, head of Morocco’s Central Authority for Corruption Prevention (Instance Centrale de Prévention de la Corruption, ICPC).

The meeting focused on actions taken by anti-corruption bodies in Poland and Morocco.  It was noted that both countries face similar challenges and that the Moroccan agency could benefit from Polish experiences. Special Representative Wnuk presented anti-corruption measures adopted in Poland, including at the MFA, and put forward projects that both sides could implement together. Given the preliminary nature of Abdesselam Aboudrar’s visit, no concrete decisions have yet been taken.

During his two-day visit to Poland, Abdesselam Aboudrar will take part in the International Anti-Corruption Conference “Europe Without Corruption,” hosted by the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau. The Moroccan official is also due to hold meetings with representatives of the MFA, Central Anti-Corruption Bureau, Police, and the Anti-Corruption Programme of the Stefan Batory Foundation.
