“Africa is becoming a true ocean of new possibilities for all of us. I hope the visit to Senegal and Ghana has helped you go out to there,” said Katarzyna Kacperczyk, Undersecretary of State at the MFA, who in Warsaw on May 5th took part in a meeting with the representatives of Polish companies who went on the April trade mission to Senegal and Ghana.

The meeting, organised by the MFA and the Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency, was held to discuss the missions’ main goals and their progress. Another important topic also involved future trade missions by the Polish authorities and their co-operation with Polish business.

“Today’s meeting is not just merely to sum up our operations in Africa—most of all, we’re here to hear your demands as to organising trade missions. Polish authorities intend to support our companies’ dynamic growth on foreign markets, including Africa, in a manner which will match the needs of Polish business,” added Deputy Minister Kacperczyk.

The deputy chief of Polish diplomacy stressed that the high number of entrepreneurs who took part in the missions to Senegal and Ghana is proof that Africa is an increasingly popular destination.

Between April 7th and 11th, Deputy Minister Kacperczyk headed the Polish trade mission to Senegal and Ghana. It comprised almost 40 Polish companies interested in establishing new business contacts with African partners. The visit of Polish entrepreneurs provided an occasion for numerous meetings with the representatives of the Senegalese and Ghanaian authorities and for talks about business-to-business co-operation possibilities.
