On 26 July 2010 Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski will head the Polish delegation to the Brussels sessions of the General Affairs Council and Foreign Affairs Council.
The FAC session will cover the situation in the Gaza Strip, Sudan and Western Balkans as well as sanctions on Iran, the EU relations with India and Brazil and the EU-Africa summit.
The GAC session will see the Belgian Presidency present its priorities for the next six months. Also the Ministers will open accession negotiations with Iceland and discuss actions to be taken under the European Council’s conclusions of 17 June 2010. Additionally, the Ministers will determine the agenda for the 16 September European Council and adopt the Decision on the organisation and functioning of the European External Action Service.
