MFA Secretary of State for European Affairs Mikołaj Dowgielewicz participated today, March 19th, in the ceremony of the 20th European Medal edition, a non-profit scheme managed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) and Business Centre Club whose aim is to bring the EU closer to businesses.
The European Medal editions have been organised half-yearly since Autumn 2000 to reward the best companies whose products and services meet European standards. During this year’s edition the European Medal award went to: Energomontaż-Południe, Wieliczka Salt Mine, Lotos Oil, Mentor, Mostostal Puławy, Nordea, Pentor, Lech Wałęsa Airport, Presspublica, Rossmann, Salamander and Wandalex.
The European Medal was also awarded to President Aleksander Kwaśniewski and Prime Minister Leszek Miller for their involvement in promoting European ideas and paving the way for Poland’s accession to the European Union.
