POLSKAÉIRE RUN  was an event accompanying this year’s edition of PolskaÉire Festival (Irish-Polish integration festival) and it was a great opportunity to promote integration through sport!

The run was also addressed to the 3 generations of runners: the eldest competitor was 68 years old, while the youngest – 2 years old. Participants could choose from 3 distances: 1K (Family Run for kids), 5K and 10K.

The run was especially popular among underage runners – over 350 took part. The Family Run was also a great occasion to encourage youngsters to do sport regularly and to popularize among them the knowledge of Polish history.

POLSKAÉIRE RUN was organized in the prestigious location of centrally located Phoenix Park in Dublin. All participants obtained commemorative medals, while the first 3 finishers at each distance were awarded trophies from the President of the Republic Poland, Mr. Andrzej Duda, presented to them at a special ceremony by the Polish Ambassador Ryszard Sarkowicz.

The run was the first of many other events organized as part of the 4th edition of the PolskaEire Festival.
