The Eastern Partnership (EaP) is a European Union foreign policy launched in 2009 in the framework of European Neighborhood Policy and addressed to six countries in Eastern Europe: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.
The goal of the EaP is to bring partner countries closer to the EU through deepened cooperation and integration on the basis of EU values, norms and standards. In order to achieve those ambitious goals the EaP has been developing in the framework of a two-track approach: in the bilateral dimension it focuses on strengthening the relations of individual countries with the European Union; in the multilateral dimension, it covers activities and initiatives in cooperation with all partner countries.News
