The Norwegian police and the Polish consulate have opened a telephone line (in Polish language) for the families of victims: 0047- 32 80 55 55. The families of victims and those who are missing can obtain information at this number. The line is open today in the hours 9.00 – 15.00, and will also be open tomorrow. It is a joint police and consulate telephone line intended exclusively for families of the fire’s victims. A separate number is available for the families of those who were injured in the fire.
All of the injured and the victims come from Płock and the surrounding area. Five bodies have been recovered so far. Further criminology work is underway and searches are being carried out for the remaining 2 missing persons. No official identification of the bodies has taken place so far. One of the people injured in the fire is currently in a burns clinic in Bergen.
Family members of the victims and the injured are starting to travel to Norway. Several of those injured will be able to return to Poland soon, after supplying necessary documents.
Yesterday, the injured, during a moving meeting, thanked the Norwegian and Polish authorities for the care that they have provided.
The Polish consul has been present the whole time, providing the injured and their families with help.
