On 20 January 2012, on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Poland and Bangladesh, Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski met in Warsaw with Bangladesh’s Ambassador to Poland, Muhammad Alim Sorcar. Their conversation focused on bilateral cooperation.
Bangladesh is one of Poland’s key prospective partners in South Asia, especially when it comes to economic cooperation, including green technologies, climate protection, oil and gas output and farm-food processing.
Poland was one of the first countries to recognize the creation of the state of Bangladesh on 12 January 1972.
