Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski will head the Polish delegation at the NATO Foreign Ministers meeting, due on 7 December 2011 in Brussels.
The meeting’s programme includes a session of the North Atlantic Council which is to focus on the situation in Afghanistan, the Balkans, North Africa and the Middle East. The Foreign Ministers will also discuss the state of preparations for the NATO summit to be held in Chicago in May 2012.
The meeting of NATO Foreign Ministers will conclude on 8 December, the day when the delegates are to attend the NATO-Russia Council which is to address the subject of cooperation between the Alliance and the Russian Federation. Also, on the second day of the meeting a session of the North Atlantic Council is to be held with the participation of representatives of the ISAF contributor states (International Security Assistance Force).
