The discussion with German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle covered such issues as the Syria crisis, Iran's nuclear programme and the future of the EU - including the new Multiannual Financial Framework.
These issues were brought up during the meeting with Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Garcia-Margallo y Marfil. Talks with Romania's Foreign Minister Cristian Diaconescu focused on EU issues as well as questions of security and regional affairs.
Minister Sikorski and Czech Foreign Minister Karl Schwarzenberg also talked about co-operation within the Visegrad Group. Poland will assume the Group’s Presidency in July 2012.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia Vuk Jeremić thanked Minister Sikorski for Polish support for Serbia's European aspirations. The ministers also discussed co-operation within the United Nations. Minister Sikorski and Moldova’s Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Iurie Leanca discussed the situation in Transnistria after the last elections and Moldova’s European ambitions.
In his many discussions, Minister Sikorski also brought up current bilateral issues.
His meeting with the Vice-President of the Greens in the European Parliament and German MEP Reinhard Bütikofer covered issues of security, ecology and energy.
