Minister Radosław Sikorski at the Munich Security Conference

Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski is participating in the 48th Munich Security Conference on 3-5 February 2012. During the conference Minister Sikorski will take part in a panel discussion devoted to the role of Germany in Europe and around the world.

The Polish delegation is led by President Bronisław Komorowski, who will take the floor at the main session of the conference which focuses on the Euro-Atlantic Security Initiative. The conference will also be attended by the Minister of National Defence Tomasz Siemoniak. The discussion’s agenda will include the forthcoming NATO summit to be held in Chicago in May 2012, as well as the global financial crisis and the situation in the Middle East one year after the Arab Spring.

The Munich Security Conference has been organized since 1962. It is a prestigious forum for the debate between the United States, Europe and Russia on international security. It is attended by heads of state and government, directors of international organizations, foreign and defence ministers, parliamentarians, as well as representatives of science and business.
