On 11th November, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Radosław Sikorski, met with the President of the Polish American Congress (PAC) Frank Spula. The subject of the talks were the recent US presidential elections. The issue of strengthening the presence of the Polish community in American political life, at the local, state and federal level, was discussed. To this end, President Spula is planning to organise in the second half of 2009 a Polish American Convention and a Convention of Young Polish Americans. Minister Sikorski asked for the Polish-American community to join efforts to strengthen the policy of the Polish government in relations with the USA.
