The inaugural session of the Foreign Economic Policy Consultative Council, led by Minister Radosław Sikorski, took place on 27th November 2008. The Council’s members include representatives of leading economic local government organisations, economic research and analytical centres, the academic community and the economic press. Representatives of companies involved in international economic exchange will also participate in the work of the Council’s. The Council serves as a forum for the presentation of opinions and the exchange of information regarding key economic issues, which often present a challenge that must be faced by foreign policy. At the same time, the Council provides a means to discuss activities and initiatives in terms of cooperation with other countries.
