Urmas Paet, Estonia’s Foreign Minister, paid a working visit to Warsaw on 19-20 January 2010. The programme included talks with Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski and Deputy Speaker of the Sejm Jerzy Szmajdziński.
The talks focused on the current EU agenda issues, including the Common Security and Defence Policy, the Eastern Partnership and the EU Baltic Sea Strategy. The Foreign Ministers also addressed security policy issues and the situation in Afghanistan. The agenda also included talks on energy security and relations with Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Moldova and Georgia.
During the visit the Foreign Ministers signed the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Poland and the Government of the Republic of Estonia on mutual visa representation.
