In connection with the publication in “The Scotsman” of the article "Lothian pupils will pay visit to Auschwitz" from 23.06.2008, in which the phrase "Polish concentration camp" appeared, the embassy sent a letter on 23.06.2008 to the editor of “The Scotsman”, drawing attention to the inappropriateness of the phrase and requesting the publication of a correction.

        On 24.06.2008, the editor of "The Scotsman" sent an email to the Embassy with apologies, and on 25.06.2008 the erroneous phrase was removed and replaced with “Nazi concentration camp”.
