In connection with the publication in the daily newspaper “The Sun” on 16.06.2008 of the article “Soaking up atmosphere, The Nazi who sent 100s to death camps”, written by Brian Flynn, in which under a picture of John Demjanjuk the words “Polish gas chambers” were placed (Ivan The Terrible guard who sent prisoners to Polish gas chambers"), the Polish Ambassador in London Mrs Barbara Tuge – Erecińska wrote a letter immediately to the editor demanding  the immediate correction of this incorrect information.

        The editor of “The Sun” initially rejected the arguments of the embassy. However, finally, on 01.07.2008 the newspaper published the Embassy’s correction.
