One person has died and 300 have been injured as a result of the disturbances. A curfew has been imposed in the centre of the city from 22.00 to 08.00 and the area is closed to vehicle traffic. Pedestrian movement is being controlled. A ban on using amplification equipment has been introduced. Broadcasts by Mongolian commercial television and radio have been suspended for the duration of the state of emergency.
