On 9th July 2008, Mr Andrzej Kremer, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Warsaw, Mr Nasser Bin Ahmed Albraik, signed a Protocol of exchange of the documents ratifying the Agreement concluded between the Government of the Republic of Poland and the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on cooperation in combating crime, signed in Warsaw on 25th June 2007.
The Agreement streamlines the combating of domestic and international crime, particularly in relation to the production and smuggling of drugs, the illegal trade in arms and explosives, acts of terrorism carried out by means of bombs and the production and distribution of counterfeit money and documents.
In line with the provisions of article 17 section 1, the Agreement shall come into force 30 days after the exchange of the ratification documents, that is, on 30th August 2008.
